WebMay 1, 2012 · Figure 1 shows the torque and power curves for a constant-torque motor. The torque is constant throughout the speed range of the spindle, and the power linearly increases as the speed increases. In this case, the spindle motor produces about 1kW per thousand rpm (5kW at 5,000 rpm, 10 kW at 10,000 rpm and so on). WebAug 14, 2015 · This is probably the most simple, cheapest, and safest option, in my opinion. Use a stepper motor, which are commonly used for high-torque, low RPM applications. Find some sort of PWM control circuit to slow it down, although you probably won't be able to get it down to 5-10RPM.
WebDec 16, 2024 · Measure the time for 10 revolutions (somewhere around 205 seconds) and calculate RPM from that. Then calculate seconds per step from that. And from Fig. 1, the lowest speed the motor can safely operate without a blower is 300 ...
WebJan 11, 2008 · by beth » Sun Jan 06, 2008 5:21 am. The engines horsepower peak plus any rpm past the peak needed to keep the engine in it's power range after a shift determines the maximum rpm. Then the valve train pieces needed for that maximum rpm are used. If the valve train is limiting rpm then it needs an upgrade.
