Milk and lye can also be stored in buckets, but dwarves will prefer to empty the buckets into suitable barrels.

WebDec 14, 2024 · Soap is a meme for some dwarf fortress player. If you can make soap, you win at DF^^ To make tallow soap, you need : ash->lye, fat->tallow. Also, very important, tallow is, by default, used in cooking. You need to go to labor and disable it's use. But the trick is, it will not appear until you have made some tallow. And it's per animal. WebBy default, your dwarves will not use ores for crafting, and will instead save them to be smelted, so that's not something you have to worry about. Opening up the Add Task menu on your smelter will show you which ores you have available, and what type of metal that reaction will create.
